A lifelong observer, connector, and relator
of things essential and eternal.
Through exploration of your spiritual nature, slowly you recover your ability to transform your world, work environment, and your relationships. You are free to have a greater response of love to your family, our colleagues and the world around you. We are in a time of great transition and Love is the powerful medium leading to optimal transformation.
When I was young, I experienced the power of my Jewish grandfather’s daily ritual of chant and prayer. I was drawn near to him during his devotions. Together as a family we observed his most cherished rituals of memorial that had been celebrated by his family and people for generations, rituals used to remember who they are. My family lived near the sea and I was formed by the ocean environment—the tides, sunsets, stars, waves, and animals. I experienced awe and developed a longing to be near nature’s wisdom where its order is true.
I am a certified in the Art of Spiritual Direction through
San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Initially, I studied Experimental Psychology at UCSD and went on to work in neuroscience research at Scripps Research Institute and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. I was still hungry for knowing how spiritually fosters neuroscience, and went on to study the work of Carl Jung (The Truth of the Whole Person) and those who work with archetypes through stories.
International Formation Leader for the
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
After having my own two children and witnessing their profound experiences in a religious and spiritual program called the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. I was compelled to know more of this revolutionary way to be with children. In training to work in this program I learned that it was developed jointly by two pioneering females, one a Hebrew scholar and the other a Montessori guide. It led to my work in the Catechesis for 22 years and counting, including my ongoing work as an International Formation Leader for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Spending regular time with children in their spiritual life has severely disciplined me away from what is efficient and quick. Children know what is essential and eternal. Together, pondering mystery, we experience joy. Joy is sometimes illusive, but is a sure sign you have encountered the holy. I also have worked with a spiritual director for years to discern where Spirit was leading my life. Those experiences—including a life-changing vision quest in 2016—melded with the beautifully still and meditative spiritual work of the Catechesis to awaken my a desire to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. My husband Tim and I love to kayak in the oceans and waterways near our home in Northern California.
